How Much Does it Cost?
We know that paying for counselling every week can be a big expense, so we offer low cost sessions to make counselling more accessible to our community.
As a Community Interest Company, our goal is to provide affordable counselling to local residents, especially those with lower incomes. Our service relies only on client fees to operate, and we are required to register for VAT.
Your First Step to Counselling with Mindsia
Initial Assessment
We provide a 45-minute initial assessment as the starting point for your counselling journey with us. This assessment is typically conducted via Google Meet, though we’re happy to accommodate your preferred platform if you have one. A contribution of £30 is requested towards the cost of this session.
In this comfortable and informal conversation, one of our client support advisors will take the time to understand your unique needs and preferences, helping us match you with the most suitable therapist for your journey.
Please note that assessment appointments must be pre-paid via BACS or cash at least 7 working days before the appointment. If you need to cancel due to exceptional circumstances, we will provide you with a new appointment. However, if you cancel or do not attend without rescheduling, we cannot offer a refund.

Assessment Sessions are charged at £30.

Low cost counselling/psychotherapy sessions are charged at £30.

Counselling/psychotherapy sessions by Qualified psychotherapist are charged at £70.
The low cost sessions are covered through our hardship fund, and usually has a varied waitlist. An initial assessment is required before you can be placed on our waiting list.
Cancellation Information
We are unable to offer your appointment slot to someone else for another session, so please consider your ability to attend regularly before scheduling. If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please call us instead of emailing
Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

Cancellation/Reschedule requests made with less than than 48 hours notice in advance will incur cancellation fee of £30.
