Wellbeing Group CIC
Member Organisation

Thank you for considering our platform for your clinical placement. We welcome applications from trainee counselors looking to work with adults (18+) at different times throughout the year, depending on our placement availability. We’ll announce these opportunities on our website and through other platforms and training establishment email networks.
Placement Requirements
We recommend considering our agency for your final year or second placement due to the complexity of client presentations and the nature of the work, which is suitable for more experienced students.

We accept applications only from students who are in their second year of qualification training, or have completed 8th Module in second year for those applying from Chrysalis.

Applicants should have at least 30 hours of counselling experience or significant experience in other mental health roles at the time of application.

We also require our counsellors on placement (Cops) to be in personal therapy for the duration of their placement with us.

Length of placement

As an agency specializing in long-term client work, we request a commitment of at least 18 months (with an 8-week notice period) even if this extends beyond your expected qualification date.

Your clinical placement will include a three-month probationary period. During this time, you will have meetings with both your supervisor and the clinical management team to ensure you are progressing as expected and receiving the necessary support.
Reimbursement Policy
We are committed to recognizing and valuing the dedication and effort our counsellors on placement invest in helping our clients and supporting our organization. As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we strive to work ethically and sustainably. Therefore, we aim to reimbursement to acknowledge time and efforts of our volunteers. We aim for 15% of the fees we charge clients. These fees vary based on clients' income and hardships, so the exact amount we can reimburse will also fluctuate. We will keep you informed about the payment rates.

We believe in taking care of both our clients and the counselors who work with us. Your contributions directly aid the clients you work with, providing them with much-needed support, while also playing a crucial role in the growth and sustainability of our organization. We want to ensure that you feel valued and supported in your role, recognizing the important work you do and sharing our limited income where possible. By working together, we aim to create a nurturing environment that benefits everyone involved, helping our clients thrive and our organization grow. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to our mission.

Supervision
We offer free group supervision to our counsellors on placement. It is the responsibility of each trainee therapist on placement to ensure that their fortnightly supervision arrangements meet the requirements set by their training course or accrediting body. Mindsia will consider requests for additional external theoretical supervision, but clinical responsibility remains with Mindsia.

You are expected to accommodate Mindsia’s supervision timetable wherever possible. Mindsia requires a minimum of 85% attendance at supervision sessions throughout the year to ensure adequate support and monitoring.
Before starting client work, you are required to meet and participate in their designated supervision group for a suitable period. This ensures they are adequately prepared and supported before engaging with clients.
